Down the line of uncleaned colourful cars, the market starts to awaken, flooding with people of all cultures. Sweet smells flood the air, as people attempt to wiggle their way out of the sea of bobbing heads. I can hear loud voices discussing prices as hands stir in wallets looking for spare change. Music booms through the mountain like speakers deafening the surrounding buyers.
Out of the corner of my eye I spot a cloud of candyfloss being munched away furiously. Happiness rings in my ears, kids smile showing missing teeth, after they have just won something on another, annoying game. I suddenly hear the buzzing of flies pointlessly dancing around glowing produce, as vendors try as hard as they can to show them away. Calm buyers are pushed out of the way by an excited and impatient customer trying to snatch up another bargain. Tongues are burned by hot, hot chips and sizzling sausages drowned in tomato sauce. I can only imagine what food I might try, the money I might waste, and the good time I’m going to have at this market roaring with range.
