My poem D2 W1

      Walking on the moon

I took a step, my feet were like springs, as bouncy as a
trampoline.

I was in slow motion like diving into the ocean,

Feeling like I would drift off into the universe.

Woodland Wonders poem

The range, of tall trees and the slippery moss under my feet.
The singing of birds, perching on the branches. The dead leaves cover the ground like a blanket, and the light green grass pokes through the dirt. The vines hanging from branches and the little pink flowers blooming.
It’s so magical.

Should schools have homework?

My opinion is that schools should definitely have homework.
I realize that people mainly children, will strongly disagree but I think this should change. Kids enjoy no homework because the free time they have after school. They enjoy doing their after school activates with no worries about having to get homework done.

Having homework is a good thing because we learn outside of school, and the knowledge that we are getting in school should be carried on at home. The work at home doesn't have to be pages and pages maybe just a few rows, of math equations or spelling words. Homework should be in all schools. What do you think?

Wearable arts show experience

Wearable art show As I walked on to the stage I saw the flickering lights and my happy parents. I could feel the popping of the bubble wrap as I wrapped it around me. Listening to the whispers back stage and the loud cheers of the audience. I couldn't taste anything in my dry mouth. I could smell the scent of dry paint and used material.

Takaha are my favourite native bird but sadly they are critically endangered.

Takahe Diet: In winter, if snow cover is heavy, birds descend into the forest for shelter and feed mainly on underground starchy rhizomes of the summer green fern. Deer and takahē love to browse on the same tussock species in the alpine grasslands. Habitat: The takahē is a sedentary and flightless bird currently found in alpine grasslands habitats. It is territorial and remains in the grassland until the arrival of snow, when it descends to the forest or scrub. Why is the takahe endangered: South Island takahē originally occurred throughout the South Island. Hunting, predation and habitat loss resulted in a remnant population in the mountains of Fiordland

this my writing remerbering cross country there has been some very painful practises but it has been super fun.

Remembering Cross country On cold winter days… My feet remember the hard gravel as I run across it. My legs remember pounding as I jog. My body remembers sweating and feeling sore. My arms remember going back and forth as I ran. My hands remember curling and clenching. My face remembers turning red in the cold wind. My mind remembers to keep trying.

Because It was matariki not to long ago I wrote this story although my family doesn't celebrate matariki I really enjoy this story myself!

Anne was dreadfully confused, half of the family was standing on the doorstep late that night. She overheard here older cousin ask Auntey Sam, if she bought the potatoes and kumara. Her mum and brother went to bed earlier than normal so did she, the house was quiet. ‘Just wait till morning’ Nan whispered to Anne. That morning anne’s alarm went off several hours early, IT’S DAWN here 5 year old sister yelled straight in Anne’s ear buzzing now, Anne jumped out of bed in a rush. In her dressing gown Anne was pushed out the door. She lay on the wet morning grass looking up at the sky like she was told to. First she just thought she was stargazing then spotted seven shining stars in the dark morning sky. The stars were really bright and the biggest was the brightest of all. Nan expellened to Anne that it was matariki and this was the first time the family celebrated it after minutes of admiring the stars Anne’s mum said that we should gather inside for some morning kai and that's what Anne’s family did, the mouth watering food was so good, this was the best matariki ever! The end

This is what my friends and I did for our STEAM fair hope you like it. (STEAM: science, technology engineering and math)

WALT write a report : this is what I have been researching and looking in to because I find it interesting

The history of the greek gods Olympian Greek gods Apollo: Apollo was the son of Leto and Zeus. He was born on the island of Delos. He and his twin sister Artemis, also an Olympian, shared an aptitude for archery. The nine Muses were companions of his; they were goddesses known for inspiring art and music. Ares: He was the son of Zeus and Hera, both of whom hated him (according to Homer). Eros (more commonly known as Cupid) was the child of Ares and Aphrodite.Ares was most notably referred to as the God of War; he represented the unpleasant aspects of battle. Dionysus: Dionysus was primarily known as the God of the Vine. Upon reaching adulthood, Dionysus wandered the Earth, teaching men the culture of the vine.Dionysus was the last god to enter Olympus Hades: He was also called the God of Wealth or “the rich one” because he possessed the precious metals of the earth. Hades had a cap or helmet that made its wearer invisible. His wife was Persephone, Demeter’s only daughter, whom he kidnapped and made his queen. Hephaestus: Hephaestus was the only ugly god among perfectly beautiful immortals. He was the workman of the immortals: he made their dwellings, furnishings, and weapons.Hephaestus was known as the God of Fire. Herms: Hermes was considered a “trickster” due to his cunning and clever personality. He primarily served as the herald or messenger of the gods.Hermes was born in a cave on a mountain in Arcadia; he was conceived and born within the course of one day. Poseidon: Poseidon was allotted his dominion after the fall of the Titans. He wielded the trident or three-pronged spear, and this image of him is reflected in art. Poseidon was most notably the God of the sea and the protector of all waters. Zeus: Zeus was the father of the famous Greek hero Hercules. The name Zeus means "bright" or "sky."His weapon of choice was the thunderbolt, made for him by the Cyclops. Olympian greek goddess Aphrodite Aphrodite was the goddess of fertility, love, and beauty. During the Trojan War, Aphrodite fought on the side of Paris.Aphrodite and her son Eros (Cupid) teamed up to cause Zeus to fall in love with a human named Europa. Artemis Artemis was daughter of Zeus and Leto and twin sister of Apollo. She was primarily a virgin huntress, goddess of wildlife and patroness of hunters. She was an important goddess in the lives of women, especially when it came to marriage and young creatures. Athena Athena was the Goddess of War, the female counterpart of Ares. She is one of three virgin goddesses; the other two were Hestia and Artemis.Athena served as a guardian of Athens, where the Parthenon served as her temple. Demeter Demeter was the daughter of Cronus and Rhea. She was the goddess of harvest and fertility.Only women attended the Thesmophoria, a fertility festival held in honor of Demeter. Hera Hera was Queen of the Olympian gods. In the story of the Quest of the Golden Fleece, Hera was a gracious protector of the heroes.Hera had few, if any, redeeming qualities. She never forgot an injury. Hestia Although Hestia appeared in a few stories, she was not overly s` significant in Greek mythology. She was a sibling to Demeter, Hades, Poseidon, Hera, and Zeus.Hestia is completely omitted from the works of Homer, author of the Iliad and the Odyssey. Tyche Tykhe, also known as Tyche, was the Greek goddess of chance, fate and fortune. She represented not only the positive aspects of these characteristics but also the negative ones. The ancient Greeks thought she was the reason for unexpected events in their lives, good and evil. For example, if someone had much success in life […] Greek mythology Greek myth takes many forms, from religious myths of origin to folktales and legends of heroes. In terms of gods, the Greek pantheon consists of 12 deities who were said to reside at Mount Olympus: Zeus, Hera, Aphrodite, Apollo, Ares, Artemis, Athena, Demeter, Dionysus, Hephaestus, Hermes, and Poseidon. The greek gods and goddess working together in battle As the god of war and violence, Ares was the personification of the bloodlust and cruelty that took place during battles. His sister, Athena was the goddess of war, but she represented the intelligence and strategy that was used to win wars.
